The First International Qatar Travel and Holidays Expo 2019 kick started on 3rd September at Giwana Hall of Radisson Blu Hotel. Senior Qatari businessman and Chairman of Qatari Businessmen Association HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani was present for the inauguration as also HE The Indian Ambassador to Qatar Shri Periasamy Kumaran ( Bharatiya Rajdoot – Doha) , Ambassadors of Thailand and Qatar and representative from Oman Tourism Authority.
Mr. Azim Abbas, President of IBPC along with the Managing Committee Members of IBPC – Mr. Sumit Malhotra (Vice President), Mr. Gopal Balasubramaniam (head of Finance) and Mr. Nishad Azeem (Head of Corporate Affairs) attended the launch event.
The Expo is being managed by an event management company Damsa from KSA. There are stalls depicting the tourism opportunities in nearly 20 countries including the Indian Tourism stall at stand No: 37 to 44. These stalls will attract the visitors and assist them to explore tourism services from different parts of the world.
This is a great initiative taken by the Qatar Government for promoting Qatar’s tourism and also to offer opportunities for different countries to showcase their tourism industry.
